Why Sailing?

A great team day is both fun and challenging and sailing provides both of these.
Teams bond through group activities and sailing a yacht is the perfect medium for this to happen. With everyone joining in, they are forced to work together which demonstrates the importance and the reward in working well together in a collaborative environment.
No previous sailing experience is required. At least 80% of clients have never stepped foot on a boat before!

The Solent is very sheltered so everyone will enjoy the day, whatever the weather. Sailing is also inclusive with all tasks being equal and fun to do.
Individuals will be as hands on as they want to be including how to steer the boat, a huge win for the day. This always creates the biggest smiles!

A Typical Itinerary

09:00 Teams arrive

09:30 Safety briefing on yacht

10:00 Depart with a morning sail with training on route to Cowes

12.30 Moor up in Cowes and have lunch ashore or anchor with a picnic

14:30 Afternoon sail or friendly race back to the Hamble

16:30 Moor alongside, team photographs and disembark

17:00 Afternoon refreshments in the local restaurant

The Solent is one of the most beautiful and sheltered sailing areas in the UK

Location

Hamble Le Rice is 3.5m from the M27 and a 20 minute taxi journey from Southampton Railway Station

The yachts are all based on the River Hamble and are just a short sail from the historic Isle of Wight, the centre of sailing in the United Kingdom.

The Isle of Wight is steeped in history and has many interesting places to visit. Most people visiting Cowes for the first time return and explore more.

There are many pubs and restaurants that provide a variety of different foody options. For larger groups, a special experience can be organised, visiting a sailing club providing luxury eating looking out over the river Medina

Standard Team Days on a 37 foot yacht start at £185 per person including all safety gear and waterproofs if required. (Excluding food and drink)
